Thanks Ryan for the forum space. Hope you can make it to the RX8 Brotherhood of the Dragon this year.
While it is not a Mazda, I thought I would put one of my other rides up for you to look at. Old school ride that is
I also compete in an 8 or a Miata.

I'm Jeff Zurschmeide - Editor of MazdaSport Magazine.
You can use these forums to contact me with ideas, feedback,
corrections, praise, or even complaints about MazdaSport
Magazine and www.mazdasportonline.com.
Currently I'm bombing around town in our latest project
car - a 1990 Miata with 395,000 miles on the clock. We're
getting ready to turn it into a real show & go car to prove
that you can have a great Miata without spending yourself
into poverty.
Best,

87 RX7 as EProd Race car/FPrep Solo car

Hmm, that is interesting. Not to many TSD rallyist around anymore. I used to do that a lot in the 70's and even managed to do pretty well in a National event one time. I think we finished in the low 20's out of more than 150 entries.
Solo bug bit me hard when I bought the 8 after a 25 year absence from fun cars. I ran mostly in SEDIV and was slow but had a blast.
Welcome Mike and it is always better to borrow a co-drive

TSD events are still pretty strong here in the northwest. Several multi-day competitive events and a monthly "friday nighter" series locally, plus -- of course -- the infamous Alcan... which I did a few years back.

Previously I've owned a 1985 Mazda pickup,1990 MX5-GT and I won a 1990 Miata which I heavily modified. Took it to all the National events.
It won first place in the Daytona National car show for modified Miata's. It was also on the cover of the May 2001 Miata Magazine and written up in the April 2001 Sports Compact Car magazine. I hated getting rid of it but needed a change. The RX-8 is a welcome addition.

Not so much in SEDIV. Nothing like it was in the 70's when I was really active the first time. I actually ran the Heart of Dixie TSD rally. I am hoping to put on a simple trap rally later this year but it seems that otheer things like RR, and TT get in the way. I actually kept rally instructions and critique slips from some of the rallies I competed in. How weird is that!
Hi to Kyle, I am just up the road in the Rocket City. I have spent quite a bit of time at TGPR this year. Fun place with the new layout.

Hi Paul, Don't want to sound stupid but where is Rocket city???
I actually live about 12 miles from TGPR road the track many times on motorcycles but never in the car. I have not gotten to get on it since the new layout but it looks pretty cool!

You know the place, where they built the Saturn IV rocket that took people to the moon, the Space Shuttle main engines and most of the rest of the the rocket inventory of NASA. Not to mention the Ballistic Missles and Star Wars programs of the Army. Also known as Huntsville!
As a matter of fact, my wife of 28 years is a real live rocket scientist. (talk about being difficult to live with at times!)
If you have never been here you really should come up to the Alabama Space and Rocket Center museum. It is better than the Air and Space Smithsonian for space hardware and such.

41 - Computer guy
The reason I bought a Mazdaspeed3 is because i
1) need to carry a mountain bike inside
2) need to carry two kids, if necessary
3) need to satisfy my mid-life crisis
4) don't want to break the bank
5) don't want to attract attention
...until I show them my bumper!
